853 Bobcat SN# 512821927 no lift no tilt

Hi gang....Help !! please , I'm out in the woods with a load of dirt in the bucket .now I'm stuck. the lights on the BICS system all come on except the lift and bucket light. It blinks once .I shut the machine off ,lift the cab and check all the wires . Close the cab , start it back up and it blinks twice. do it all over again and back and fourth and so on. so I called the Bobcat dealer and he said clean the seat sensor ( even though the light comes on.) well I've spent the day out here in the sun , got ate up by bugs , threw my cell in the swamp because no one could help....walked a mile out of the woods to use this computer which now is freezing up on me . And my kid just calls and said the arms work !! I asked if he emptied the bucket and ...hmmm nope , he did not !! so he started it back up while I'm talking to him on the phone and now its back to blinking once again.. I'm sorry for rambling on but I needed to vent . I'm sun burnt , all bit up and looking to start drinking after being sober for 20 years !! Help !!!

don't start drinking! do the wheels move? if they do then i don't think it would be the seat sensor....but i could be wrong.

Hi , yes I can , I start it and all the lights come , except for the lift and tilt of the bucket that one just blinks .. I can move back and fourth , but the wheels are dug into the dirt so I can't get the bucket off..If I could get the bucket off I could drive it out of Camp Skeeter wood and save on the Blood lost too them lil' Devils ..

If all the lights except the lift lock light are on, i'd suspect a bad coil. If it's bad, it won't unlock your hydraulics (as you know).
I'm with you about the seat sensor, if the light comes on, it's operating.
They can be frustrating, just be patient. You don't want to cause more damage that will just cost you more to fix later on.
Sadly i don't have the codes on me to tell you what the light flashes mean. The flashes tell you what the problem is, the dealer should have told you about this and should have been able to tell you where to look. Some can be short to ground, open etc.

1 blink is BICS output to valve is open(broken wire or bad connection)
2 blinks is output is shorted to battery voltage.

Lol , so I go back to camp skeeter wood today with high hopes Start the machine and the lift worked long enough to empty the bucket and started to move it out of the hole and as my luck goes it starts to rain cats and dogs , a skeet gets me in the eye and I swell up like I just went 5 rounds with Mike Tyson...the darn lift stops working and is blinking once. I go home and get some Benadryl and wait for the storm to pass. I go back down to Camp Skeeter wood AGAIN and now it is a flipp'n mud hole and I am Stuck !! start it up and now it is Blinking Twice !! If you were out side any where within a 100 miles you may have heard me #@$%!&&^...once or twice. Is it possible to put up a picture of the Valve I am looking for ? The Bobcat Dealer said it was the Valve , but would have to come out and check and it would be extra because of were its at !! So its just me and you guys thats going to get this darn thing home..Thanks for all and any Help !!

Bha ha ha ha ...I tried the yard gaurd fogger and it kept the Skeeters away, But invited the Deer Flies , so my Ex Drinking buddy say's I seen on the internet to spay your self down with Listerine and it will keep the bugs away..I tried it !! Now there is a bunch of Deer Flies with fresh breath..Don't beleave everything you seen on Facebook ..LMAO. We got it out of the mud with a Big Mudd truck and back home , But I look and smell like a back alley Listerine drinking drunk that had the krap kicked out of him and then used as a dart board and rolled in the mud...lol.

Bad bics coil. It is getting hot and shorting out.

is it possible to put up a picture of the coil , I looked and I see three of them...two small ones and a Bigger one that would be very hard to get too unless your gumby....my luck its that one..lol , Thx

There are 3 coils. One on either side on top. Those are for the aux hydraulic functions. The center one is the bics lockout solenoid.

With his serial number he may have the old style BICS lock valve mounted on the inside wall of the frame.

O.K. , heres the deal today...the swelling went down , I didn't start to drink and I have a speach impediment every time I see a Skeeter... lol..I call the Bobcat Dealer today "40 miles away " and give them my info on the Bobcat and he says in his Diagram hes looking at theres only two small solenoids and he can't find the one I'm talking about in the above photo. But if I can come up with a part # or take it off and bring it in , he might be able to help me ....WTF , can someone give me the correct name and Part # for this thing...please !!! I'm starting too loose what lil' hair I have left. Thx

I replaced it and now it blinks twice !! , but as I'm looking at the Diagram above , the old unit and the new unit did not have the 0 rings it shows above , would that make a difference ?

That wouldn't cause the blinking to change.... The lights are only an indication of the electrical connections. Mainly open, short, short to ground. I don't see the O rings being an issue.
