I am working on a 773 serial #509637403. The hour meter and the gauges are not working. I have my 12 Volts in the right side upper panel on the orange wire when it comes into the fuel guage its like I lose 6 volts. Now if I that a wire with 12 volts on it and connect it to volt gauge the water temp and the voltage gauges will start to work. Any ideas? Thanks Steve

Check for corrosion in your fuse box. They are prone to corroding and causing problems like this.

I replaced both fuse blocks and still the same thing. It looks like the temp gauge is working but thats it. Any help would be appreciated.

You should have 12v+ anywhere along that orange(rng on the wiring diagram) since it comes directly from the 10amp fuse #2. I'd check for corrosion/poor connection at the fuel gauge connection since that where the voltage drop starts. It looks like several jumpers come off at that point.

Ok it looks as though the fuel gauge was wired wrong. It had the 12v going to the sending unit. With it wired right my other gauges work but fuel gauge is not. I'm thinking the voltage that was feed to the sender messed it up. Any thoughts? How I'd I test the sender without removing it not sure it will be that easy to get out? Thanks for the help!

Is there a way to test the fuel sending unit while installed? I looks like it is going to be though to remove and replace.

Would you be able to post the complete 773 F wiring diagram or upload it to the site? Was hauling a load of wood today and stopped to talk with the neighbor and when I tried to start it...nothing. Pulled the key switch and it measures fine. 2 of the accessory fuses were bad/corroded but without the diagram I'm not sure if this is the issue. Right now it's sitting out in the woods. Thanks.
