This is my latest creation. Made from 1/8" plate to cut down on weight. Bucket and Quick-tach plate are 1/4". Picks up a full bucket of wet dirt at full extention without coming close to tipping. Weights around 250 lbs.
Stay tuned for my other projects. Post hole digger and grapple bucket conversion.

Nice job!! I have been thinking of building one of these too. Did you draw up any plans for this, or just free style it? Cheers!!

No plans, just free styled it. I had to change the angle of the frame, as when I first tacked it up and test fit it, the bucket would hit the loader when curled back. Glad I checked first. I also made it too wide at the pin. Didnt think about the possibilty of needing a 6" trenching bucket. Oh well. Ill fix that on my next one :)

That looks great! Do you have any rough ballpark estimate as to how much that will cost to build?
I think I have around $200 in the cylinder and hoses/fittings. Probably 150-200 worth of steel. If you already have steel, you can save some money.

Buckets are pretty easy. I got the cylinder and hoses/fittings from surpluscenter.com.

Hotrod1830 have you got any video with this backhoe on 310 in action ?
Sorry for the long delay. Sorry, no I do not have any video of it. I sold the 310 and have to adapt the hoe to my 463, so as of now I cant get you one.
