What is the correct way to move skid loader or excavator that isnt running? Is it the same way? I was told by dragging it you can hurt the drives and hydraulics. How do you free the wheels on each one to move it without hurting the drives or hydralic or other systems?

This is what it says in all the operator manuals these days.

There is no easy way to disconnect the drives. My 453 will tow very slowly if the brake is off and the handles are held in the direction of travel.
If you need to drag one on to a trailer, you can put down some soapy water and it will skid easier.
