Hi Guys , Have a couple of questions regarding the specs of my 226b (06), I am trying to understand the specs for this machine. Rated operating capacity is 1,500 lbs, or up to 1,600 lbs when including the optional counterweight. Is this the max weight it will lift off the ground because i am sure I have lifted more (2k lbs) off a trailer. Just trying to understand . also will this machine have enough hydraulic flow to run a hole auger ?? thanks Ragweed

reason I ask is I have several pallets that I need to lift off a tractor trailer, each 2000 lbs, also auger would be an 8 or 10 inch unit.

The ROC is the safety margin you are supposed to adhere to which is pretty much half what the machine will actually do. Advice: lift slowly at first and be aware of any forward tipping (in which case you want to get those loader arms down quickly to avoid a faceplant).
You'll be fine with an auger, just don't get one designed for more gallons per minute than your machine puts out. I have a 216b and use a bobcat 15c auger with 6, 9 and 12 inch flytes (auger bits) with no troubles.
