I have a t300 and it was working fine. Then all the sudden it quit. I tried to start it back up but it gave me these three errors: "Speed Lock Output short to ground" "Fuel Shutoff sol pull error on" "Fuel shutoff sol hold open circuit" Where should I start??? I have looked around for some shorted wires but havent seen anything. Any input would be apprciated

I'd start by checking the shutdown solenoid. Get a multi meter and check between black and white and black and red. Both shold have resistance, one will have more than the other, this is the pull coil. If one is open or very high, it may be burnt out causing no fuel to the pump.
I assume it still cranks but will not start?

Spool lock could be trying to lock you out of the hydraulics, but i didn't think it would stop it even starting.....
If the spool lock is what i think it is, they screw into the control block preventing the spools moving when you move the foot pedals.
It has foot pedals or hand controls?

Hi Tazz, I found 2 solenoids on the control valve. I assume those are the spool locks. There is one solenoid on the back of engine near throttle control. It has three wires going to it. Is that the fuel and shutdown solenoid combined. I will ohm out all solenoids and see if they are bad. Will post back soon. Thanks so much.

Yeah, those are the spool locks. If the spool seals leak, they can get oil in them and they can stop working/burn out. Hopefully an ohm check will give you some answers

I don't think a run/kill or spool lock solinoid being bad will stop the machine's controller from letting the engine turn over because I have by-passed both and the machine will start and run -------if you remove the run/kill solinoid fron the engine and let it hang and if everything is right it should start up and run , to kill the engine you would have to put your finger or a screwdriver if your squimish down the hole and push the arm --bad spool lock solinoids can be removed from valve and grind the tip off and reinstalled just to keep the dirt out as no oil will flow out that hole unless spool seals are bad and the spool will be free , it will still throw a code up that the solinoid is bad but will run ------------- is your machine keyed or keyless igniton

Machine is keyless and foot pedal.where is the run kill solenoid?the only one i see at back of engine is where the throttle linkage is it has three wires.

keyless brings up a lot more problems it could be , it could be the controller , the left or right panel , the wiring harness plus along the other things it could be --------------the run /kill is on the front of the engine mid way , two 3/16 headed allen socket bolts hold it in

rpm sensor. also what has not been said is if you have been havining to jump it? if you have (due to bad bad batt maint) you have created a hi amp draw, probally smokin controller. also check pink white from controller to left panel branching to right, has a tendancy to carry volts but no amps , usually indicated by a blinkin lh panel

I have seen mosture in the panels cause a no start problem , high humidity and wide temperature swings where I am at cause a lot of problems

Hi, Just wondering what the solution to your ploblem ended up being?? I have a 2002 763 that has done the same thing. Running fine never an issue, turned off for 15 minutes, go to restart and has similar error codes to you and just wont crank when i hit the start button after the glow plugs are done. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
