632 bronze filter

I ordered a bronze filter for the port block on a 632 and the one that came in is longer and larger. The dealer said the original is no longer available and I'm required to purchase a new block and adapter. Does anyone know a way around this or where I can get the original size one. Thanks if you can help.

That's BS, I bought a new one for my 630 a few months ago and found the same thing. Took it back to the dealer and they ordered the correct legnth. Unless they I bought the last one I would think they are still available.
Unfortunately I passed along all my receipts to the new owner so I can't look up the part number for you and he is on the way to the Dominican republic
Try another dealer?

Wonder where they get these parts guys from sometimes. When I needed a filter for a 1980 632 they gave me a short one and said that was the newer style but they also had the longer one in stock which is what I needed.

Pulled out the parts manual for my 630. The part numbers for the bronze filter are: #6557991 for SN 12999 and below #6558357 for SN 13001 and above Hope that helps. I replaced my filter a few years ago and didn't have any problems getting it.
