I just bought one, a new take off from Neil Porter at Porter Racing/Pacific Crossle' Inc. He has a few of these that they have removed from new distributors for their race cars. He can be reached at 209-722-7373. Super nice guy.My Bobcat dealer has informed me that the vacuum advance is no longer available for the 642 w/1.6L. I am planning to go with a Mallory P/N 29332, and cut and drill the pullrod to fit. This unit is adjustable, so the correct advance point should be attainable. Word to the wise: anybody with a functioning vacuum advance on your 642, keep those distributor plates lubed to ease the burden on the diaphragm. If you have tried this solution, please post your experiences here. Thanks.
