So I got the chance to use a late model 130 yesterday, 2010 unit with 260hrs. Ran fine, as it should being almost new, plenty of power compared to my 35 year old 630. One thing I was surprised at was it seemed more "bouncy" driving it around than my 630 despite being about 1000lbs heavier and the wheelbase is pretty much the same, any thoughts? Could it be the higher HP makes it more responsive?
I'm considering purchasing it, depending on what I can get for mine. As I said the hours are low and it has been dealer maintained, they want 18k, any opinions?

It may feel that way because of the engine position too. Just different mass locations. The power would also add to it, but you would soon get used to that.
There is a noticible difference in power isn't there? I raelly can tell when i jump from by 743 to my S150.

Yeah ran it again today for a few hours and tried to be more gentle with the sticks, seemed to help
the extra 20 horses or so more than my 630 is a huge difference, I liked the machine a lot, we'll see...

If it is bouncey, check tire pressure, those are pretty stable. I normally set them to 50 psi

Checked the tires, they were all about 45psi, bobcat brand 10.5x16 8 ply
Were you thinking if they were overinflated it would be more bouncy?

If one tire is low it came make a skidsteer bouncey. I can feel a tire is low just driving a machine. A unit won't always pull if one tire is low and the other is propperly inflated. This normally seems to happen if back tire is low.
