Considering buying an old 330

Hi everyone, I'm considering buying a Mustang 330 that appears to be in good shape. Everything seems to work on it. I don't want to spend a ton of money to spend on an "around the house" loader, and it seemed like this might be a decent value. It also looks like one of the only hydrostatic machines in my price range ($3000). I'm planning to use it primarily for snow removal around the house. I'd rather have a skid steer than a lawn tractor with blower or a 4-wheeler with plow because it feels more versatile (can do summer chores, too), can lift and dump the snow, and because I think this industrial-grade machine would hold its value better. It's also way more fun to use. Can you give me your thoughts on buying an old machine like this? Any particular things I should be on the lookout for? From what I read, this was a well-regarded machine. Is that true? My experience is on older Bobcats like the 743, so I have no experience with the T-bar controls. How are they to use? This machine has no ROP/cage. Is there a good way to mount lights for night plowing without the cab? Thanks in advance! Jim

The cage with mesh sides is the best for light mounting, before the cages were put on a lot of operators were killed or crippled under the boom arms, it doesn't have to be fancy to keep you out of harms way. You need the height for the lights anyhow.
