Hi my 175 has a rocker switch on the left handle and a switch on the panel for the aux circuit. My question is how is this supposed to work? When I push the rocker switch on the handle to the right the hydraulic goes forward but does nothing when I push it to the left. The switch on the panel will run constant in reverse when I flick it up. I think that I should be able to go either way on the handle switch and stay on in the forward direction on the panel switch.

You are correct.
The rocker switch on the handle should pressure the aux hyds one direction if you press it one way and the other direction if you press it the opposite way.
Check your wiring going into the aux hyd control solenoid.
It may be wired backwards.
I hope this helps.
