Hi everyone! I am a designer looking for insight into how to improve current compact track loaders. This goes from everything to improving the track system to making the cab more comfortable. What I am looking for it people's opinions on what they look for in CTL's, what problems they have had in the past, and what have been their favorite features of either the current model they own/use or a previous one. I have done quite a bit of research but nothing is better than hearing from the users. I have 8 questions that can be answered very quickly, and I would appreciate it if anyone here would give me their input. You guys would know best! Thank you in advance for your help!! 1)What brand/ model do you use? 2)What is the biggest problem you have with the model of CTL that you are using? 3)Is there anything that you would like to change about your CTL that would improve usability and increase productivity? 4)What is your and your co-workers favorite feature(s) of the compact track loader you use? 5)If you could change anything about the interior and controls what would it be? 6)What other brands/ models have you used? 7)What is biggest problem that you have with the previous CTL's? 8)If money weren't a factor, and you could make any changes you can think of,what would you like to improve/change about your CTL? ***Also if you have pictures you can post to me as well, of anything having to do with your CTL I would appreciate that as well!

probally shouldnt discuss my backgrond . but if you are serious , drive motor rebuild is the #one main concern. when a seal kit , is half the price of new motor, add labor in. the warrenty issue its . benifical to custmoe to reccomend replacement. yes they can be rebuilt. is it cost effective no. #1 failure is outer hub brg. usually due to lack of maint. THAT OIL NEEDS CHANGED, another common issue is joe blow replaces motor or hub. but negletcs the case drain filter, and or brake block. resulting in low hr catostrophic failure causining more damage, also douctamtion of repair by joe blow., for instance i pull a case drain its full of metal i need to find source??? tear it all down and go to head scratching,. only to find o yea got one one on the internet but did not know about case drain. now at this point contamation has thrashed new motor or stat,, as to undercarrige on bob cat. zero issues no roller idler or sprocket issues. normal wear and tear, tracks getting good hrs out of. seems to be an operator thing, things you can do to minimize track wear , plan turns j track (dont skid) 60% more wear in rev than fwd.hope this helps,
