I just purchased a 2001 Bobcat 773G Turbo with A/C/Heat. It has heavy rust and I need some body parts (step on the front, bolt on parts, door frame for the glass door). I called the dealer because I can't find a link to buy parts online. The dealer told me they don't have an online ordering interface and the only way to buy parts is by calling the dealer. Is this true? Is Bobcat stuck in 1960s? I don't have time to call the dealer everytime I need a part. Help.

Better get used to it....
They must prohibit their dealers from putting the parts online because none have.
Many have websites but the parts are not there.

Wow, Have you guys seen John Deere's parts page? It ROCKS. I am an International Harvester guy and have to admit, Deere has their Sh$t together. Bobcat has been a HUGE dissapointment. Don't they realize that sales happen when a willing buyer can FIND THE PARTS. Last Bobcat I own until they fix this issue. Hire me as the corporate parts salesman and I will double overall sales in two years by simply putting parts online. They will consolidate parts distributership by warehousing, they will have intangible information dividends by knowing exactly what parts are in demand and further will have more efficient profits by centralizing the parts distribution process. Who is with me here?

Amen to that! I now probably have half of the schematics from their system for my machine as I have had to have my parts guy at the dealer email me the schematics so I could pick out the parts I am talking about. So the process right now is call the dealer, try and describe the part (major pain if it is a small fitting of some sort), he guesses and tries to describe it back, I respond "huh?", he says ok let me just email the schematic and you pick it out and let me know the part number. I receive the email, find the part I want, call him back, place the order and all is well.
Wouldn't that be much easier if even just the schematic database was online? I mean I don't mind calling to place the order, but it would be much easier for all parties if I was calling with a part number in hand.

I will second that. It would be great if they did on-line orders using a website that showed price and availability.
Perhaps a letter to corporate would help but it it hard to find time for that.

Any idea whatthe part number for the front step you need is? I may be able to help. I have a couple extras on the shelf that came from a buyout I did, not sure what they fit though.

I just came across your thread. I know it's a little late, but if you ever need any replacement parts or attachments I would suggest using www.SpartanEquipment.com. I rely on them for everything and they offer great customer service if you need to call and discuss the parts you need. Try them out and see if they can help!

Question for the moderators- I have been participating for a little while but am not that familiar with the sponsors of this board. Does a parts supplier help sponsor this board? If so, I usually try to pay it back through ordering parts as I do on a number of other equipment bulletin boards that are run by parts suppliers.

I believe the only income Geoffrey gets for the forum is the adds that you see. The more people that click on them, the more he gets to help pay for the forum costs.
I am not aware of any deals that he gets anything when you order off one of the sponsored suppliers though.

don't know about parts online but i do know the frustration of trying to describe a part to the parts guy ....when i bought my last machine ,after getting the options ,buckets all worked out and the price ..i said the deal closer is ..throw in the complete service manual and the parts book and we are good to go ...bobcat used to charge an arm and a leg for them but the dealer probably gets them cheep enough ..they are also great for helping to get all of the little parts back together in the right order..now when i need parts i call and ask for price and availability on part # xxx xxxx xx..helps out a lot
