I guess when it rains it pours...... 2 weeks ago I had to remove the radiator and have it flushed out because it was running hot on me. Now last week I noticed hydraulic oil leaking out below the turn table between the tracks. I brought it home this weekend and tore it apart looking for a reason why. It turned out the swing motor is leaking oil right above the gear ( the best I can tell )..... What is a normal fix fort this? Is it possible to replace the seal, or does the whole swing motor need replacing, or rebuilding? In the 7 years I've owned this, I've never had a single problem and now it seems to be piling up on me... RussB

It should just be a seal. Dirt probably got caled in there and has made it leak. Even age/heat will make it harden up and fail.

I decided to take the lazy way out on this one..... letting the bobcat mechanic fix it next Monday, don't think I got the patience to tackle this one....

Overall do not have to much with the mini ex. Swing carrier is the one somewhat kinda common thing. Normally do seals and bearings in the motor carrier. I do maybe four a year.

more than likley it is the carrier seal but motor will be resealed as well you dont do one without the other, it is a very time counsming job,.ring gear bolts need inspected, a sloppy house side loads gear. carrier brgs are replacable. have not found a speedy for shaft. but i can say i have never done the same unit twice,
