WTB bobcat 642b parts Posted: 03/03/2011 07:00 PM |
| Hey, I am new to the forum, and recently bought a bobcat 642b project. I have found some useful links on the site to salvage yards for parts but haven't found what i need for my model. I am missing the blower wheel, u joint, yoke and hardware to attach the engine to the pump. Does anyone have these parts or know someone who does? I cant afford the dealer price. I could use a few other things if someone had a machine they were parting. Thanks for any leads! |

jeepcreepcj, I'm just wondering on how your project is coming along? I have just bought a 624b for a project also. Have you found the parts you need yet? |

| No, I have not found the parts that i need yet. When i bought the loader, the missing parts were supposed to have been included but were not with the loader at the shop. I was supposed to be able to get them later, but its been over 2 months now, and my calls don't get returned. The engine was out and in pieces, and i tried to have it rebuilt but couldn't find a useable crank for less then $900. So I bought a kubota diesel that was supposed to be a good runner, and found out it wasnt, but after some work and more money i have got that running. Currently I am planning to swap the kubota into it. It would be easy if i had the original fan, yoke and u joint. I could simply bolt that to the kubota flywheel after having it machined, and make a motor mount. Then with some rewiring and what not i might have a runner, but I have been making no progress without the fan and coupler. I cant really make the motor mount without knowing where it will sit when coupled. I hope your project goes better than mine! |

| Thanks! I will probably post some pics in a new thread once i find the parts I am missing. Its not a misfortune, I think it will work good once done and I am just anxious to get it going. |

| Do you have the measurements for the U-Joint? Let me know those and I can see about getting you one. I don't know how long it will take me but its worth a shot. Its not something we have got into yet but we have purchased one for small repair job. |

| Yeah, bobcat numbers dont really help me at this point because its not something we have researched at this time. I know its on our list of things to do. That is why I was wanting the measurements, I would have a better chance. Sorry |

| Thanks to everyone for your help. I have the parts I need! I got them from Hess brothers in indiana. They happen to have just got a 642b in when I called. They shipped everything up to me right away. I would highly recommend them if anyone is having trouble finding used parts. I will hopefully have it going this week, maybe even tomorrow night! |
