I have completely overhauled the valve body with seals and O rings and checked the lift cylinders separately for leaks. (no leaks) When I just start pressing the lift peddle to go up, it starts going down slowley and when I push it a little more it stops and a little more and it starts up. I also checked the lift lock and override valve with O rings and seals. If I hold the lift peddle in the up position where it starts leaking down and press the tilt peddle ( when tilt is bottomed out) it starts lifting the bucket. I am out of ideas unless it is a defective port relief valve. I dont know any Ideas?

You said you overhauled the control block, did this include the load checks? they are behing plugs right next to where the tube lines attach. These hold pressure for when you lift to prevent the load lowering slightly then taking up.

Yes I did. I even switched the springs and poppets between the lift and tilt. I have a service manual and Have checked everything I can think of. I have also resealed both lift cylinders. I am open to check anything. thanks for your ideas

I have yet to find a fix for this problem and thought I would post it again. I almost got my brother hurt because of this bleed off. . It know has rebuilt engine and new high / low hydraulic pumps. All the lift and tilt cylinders have been rebuilt. Dose anyone have a solution or where to check or who to call ??????. Thanks

Friend of mine has a 853 that did unusual things like that , after everything else we found it cured the problem when a loop hose was attached to the aux couplers so he had a fellow take the aux solenoid valves apart and clean them. That fixed it. I think the trash came from when the seal went out in the tilt cylinder.

Try the hose between aux couplers and see if it changes anything.

Thank you I will try that and let you know.
If that doesn't fix it, it has to be a load check in the control block.... There is nothing else that i can think of that could cause it to drop when lifting.
