| well i got a 741 at the crusher with no motor in it
apperently had a deutz 2 cly diessel. i understand this is a 29 hp at 2200 rpm
i have a 5 cly mercedies diessel but its probly to much hp
so what do you all think 5cly for free
allso my pump has a splined shaft . isnt there soposed to be a drive shaft to conect the motor , i dont know what was here orignally |

| Whatever engine you use needs to be short enough to fit in the engine bay. It also needs a govenor, a stardard car engine will not work properly, it need s a govenor to maintain speed under vairous loads. The splined shaft on the pump has a mating coupler that slides over it connected to the fly wheel with two universal joints. Thats how they connected the pump to the engine. It allows for slight mis-alignment. |
