I'm looking for a muffler to a Bobcat 743. Is there anyone that has a hint about where I can get this. Any help would be really appreciated!

Hi Glenn, Sorry if I am just stating the obvious as opposed to what you are asking. I just thought I would mention I purchased a brand new one for my 742B last year from the dealer. The price wasn't too bad and I figure a new one should last for quite awhile. So far so good. John

I was going to say the same. I think i paid about $150 2 years ago. Its a very common machine, so parts that do get turned over a little faster are generally reasonably priced.
Failing that, check ebay.

John and Tazza. Thanks you so much for your reply. Can you remember the name of the dealer you bought the muffler at? I have tried Ebay but didnt found anything there. Thanks for the tips. Glenn

Any dealer can look the number up. My local dealer is in Australia, so i doubt they are much help for you :)
Try Mark at Intermountain Bobcat in Salt lake, Utah. He floats around the forums as 'bobcat parts manager'
Please remember, the price i got was a few years ago, don't expect it to still be the same.

Hi everyone. Thanks for all tips. I found out that it was very expensive to buy a new mufflers. In Norway, they should have about $ 1000 for a new one. I know that the price is much lower in the Usa, but with shipping and tax the price will get high anyway. So I bought some stainless pipes and made one myself. If you would like to see the project I have attached a link with pictures of the project. http://s773.photobucket.com/home/Bobcat743/allalbums

Nice job!
Being stainless, you won't need to mess with it again.

Hey Glenn, just got back on-line. That is excellent and thanks for posting the pics. Wow, hard to believe what your were going to have to pay for a new one. My dealer is in Spokane, WA and I haven't had a chance to look up what I paid but it seems like it was only around $120. Let us know how it sounds ;-) Or should I say, doesn't sound! John

The muffler is now installed and the Bobcat is on the road again. The muffler worked perfectly and the sound was very good! Very satisfied :)
