The only list of codes I have is for an a220. It doesn't show a code 40-13. The 40-xx code is for the right handle on that, and probably same for T190. I'd check for loose connections in the wiring for the switch handle. Is there any 'looseness' in the switches on the right handle....maybe getting worn inside and causing problem. What stops working when the fault occurs? Maybe try another dealer for info....where I used to work , Bobcat of Boston, they answered tech calls and usually gave out info to help the customer fix problem.

ty very much the serial number is 531612226.i use the machine for tree work and what it does is the auxilary hydrulics will lite up then go off ,sometimes the grapple only works on max flow, sometimes it works on max or variable.if it doesn't lite up i can drive on rough terrain and it will come on.then it has days that it just wont work.its driving me crazy and every time i take it to bobcat it lites up.but i get to a job and need it it wont work

A Code 40-13 occurs when the Bobcat Controller detects that the Right Joystick Grip is not communicating with the Right Joystick Base. The auxiliaries will be disabled with a Code 40-13 present. Possible Cause: Wire harness between the Right Joystick Grip and Base. Moisture, corrosion, or pushed back pins in the Right Joystick assembly. If the code is intermittent and not on at the time of testing, the cause of the code may not be found at this time. Probable causes may include: loose connections, corrosion, pushed back pins, the controller, the wire harness or a combination of these problems. Troubleshooting Procedure: Note: Key switch / (run/enter) must be Off when connectors are disconnected or connected. 1 Check the wires and connectors between the Right Joystick Base and Grip. Are the wires and connectors in OK? Go to Step 2. Repair or replace Right Joystick. 2 Switch the Right Joystick Grip with the Left Joystick Grip. Does the code change to 39-13 "Left Joystick Grip No Communication"? Replace Right Joystick Grip. Replace Right Joystick Base.

Had a similar problem a while back. Found after replacing controller (which wasn't the cause), that a group of wires had rubbed on hard lines and shorted out intermittenly. Spliced all and worked fine from there. Can't remember the wire grouping but it was to my right hand controls. Wiggle the wires for the code to show or reset.

I to have been having trouble with the rgt controller intermittently especially on the one particular 185 and a 300 we use. We use the aux ALOT almost exclusively very seldom use the buckets, so I had wrongly assumed that the rgt controllers was just wearing I WAS WRONG it was certainly moisture and a lot of it, while the machines almost never get wet they do operate in almost 80 to 100% humidity. My service tech pulled the rubber boot around the controller and the water literally ran out so we went to the 300 in the field same thing. After a lot of compressed air and a liberal app of wire dry no more issue or codes as of right now. I was sure I knew every thing about these machines and my service tech she thinks she knows it all but we didn't well she didn't me I would have figured it out soooner or later LOL.
