you mean part number?
Wasn't there also an "issue" with the firmware version of the computer? if its not rite for the actuator you need to get the dealer to re-flash it rite?
Sorry to make things harder for you, best to know of the potential problems of installing a new actuator and finding out its spitting out other error codes.

Tazza, my machine is telling me it is a lift actuator. I recently moved and cant find my damn book to look up the codes. when the machine throws the acs code i look at active warnings and it says lift actuator, however when i look at the service codes i dont see a code at all. I have either forgotten how to make the code display in the hour meter or its just not displaying at all. Any help would be appreciated.

I have been down this road before and it was a nightmare for me , got the actuator bad code and couldn't find any bad wires so bought the high dollar actuator and changed it , same code came up immediately , had the dealer plug it in and they had to do a software update , there was a glitch in the version in the machine , you could have the same problem , needing a higher version of the software , that is a bad machine to own when it breaks down

Press and hold the lights button to see the active codes. There are 4 things that could be wrong, 1 - the wire harness, 2 - the actuator, 3 - valve/spool, 4 - the controller. Most often I would say it is either the harness or contamination in the valve. Switch the connectors on your lift and tilt actuator. If the code stays the same, it is either the harness or the controller. If the code switches, it's the actuator or the valve/spool. FYI - On the machines with the new style panel that Bobcat came out with this year, you push the "i" button 3 or 4 times to see codes.

Ok, so what makes this a bad machine? Is it hard to diagnose the electrical problems or what? I do believe the code it is showing is either 32-36 or 32-56, my brain don't recall as well as it did, but i believe it was the latter. I have noticed that my quick tatch cylinder is closing on it own and it has never done that before. It sounds like I need to have the updates done and go from there. Any advice will help.

What's happening to you is exacty what I don't like about that style machine ,your at the dealers mercy , lots of down time , lots of money , it's an electrical / software night mare , it is hard to diagnose because the code you get is not always the real problem , it seems to me a lot more times than not once the problems start it don't stop , one problem after another , it is not available to you or me , but the dealer has cheat sheets that direct them on what to check and how to do it for each code , on the bottom of the sheets it states something like " for dealer use only not to be viewed or used by end user " " --------32-36 is lift actuator fault , 32-56 is tilt handle/pedal short to battery

I have been disappointed with this machine from the word go. I purchased it with 1000 hrs and have had it for 6- 8 months and have only put 100 hrs on it and I have replaced the lift pump, the starter, and now this problem. When running I love the machine however @ 1100 hrs I really didn't expect this many problems. I am hoping when I get this stuff cleared up my problems will subside for a while. So if it is a short to ground where would you start looking or would you just take it to bobcat? Thanks

Finding wiring problems is hard , sometimes you get lucky and find it quick as it is obvious , it helps to have some clues of where to look , since you have actuator codes it would seem the place to start is at the actuators and everything connected to the actuators and trace the wiring back , looking for spots that may have got rubbed , melted , pulled or eaten by rats along the way , the connection plugs are something to check for moisture or corrosion , alot of times when I see the shorted to ground code it is the actuator , solinoid , coil , or whatever that is at fault that is bad inside that causes that code , but with that machine you got I have seen more times than not the problem has nothing to do with the code you get and the code is no more than a by product of another problem ----------I would bite the bullet and get it scoped out by a dealer instead of throwing time and money (parts) blindly at it , electrical parts are not refundable , the dealer has the ability to swop parts and see if that fixes it , where if you install it, you bought it ---------you may just need a software update or a flash /reboot --------I went to school and played ball with a d long , he played pro for a while
