Codes they use-
f0= hydraulic oil filter restriction,
f1 engine air filter restriction,
f2 not used,
f3 engine pre-heat,
f4 fuel solenoid,
f5 engine coolant temperature,
f6 hydro trans charge pressure,
f7 trans/hydraulic oil temp,
f8 battery voltage,
f9 eng oil pressure, fa hydraulic boom/bucket solenoids
Error code f2 is not used on any of the nh boards, if this displays it might be a board problem, are some of his led fuel bars burnt out? or lights, this is usually an indication of a bad board,

Sorry it took me so long to relay this from Charger, He responded in a pm and I was expecting a email

Finally got it back! This is from the Operators Manual copy right date 1996. It came with my 1998 Lx865. On the front cover it has L865, Lx865, and Lx885.
The following are the fault codes and the associated error messages.
Err01: Memory store error (engine hours may not be valid).
Err02: Output circuit to the fuel solenoid has shorted/opened.
Err03: Output circuit to the hydraulic solenoid has shorted/opened.
Err04: Output circuit to the engine preheat relay has shorted/opened.

Ken, Thanks for thinking about me. I 've been away a couple of weeks and just got back to foolin around with this thing again. My manual for the LX865 lists four error codes - 01,02,03, and 04. They show up on the EIC as "Err 02". I notice your codes start with f. There must be some kind difference here. My manual states that Err 02 is a fuel solenoid error. All lights in the EIC are functioning properly. Mike suggested here a while back to take the solenoid out and bench test it, I had hoped to do that Saturday but it looks like it is going to frigging rain ... again. Thanks again. Tony

I don't know any more then I was told. Charger though if you had a 2 it must be a burnt segment or a faulty board throwing up the improper #.
Maybey they do something different in certain machines, I don't know.
