Looking to upgrade from my Gehl 4625sx to a new or slightly used machine. Needs/wants: 1. Cab with heat/ac 2. Track loader as I'm going to be going in hilly pastures 3. Hi-Flow, just in case I need in future 4. Speed for roading from place to place and also when snow blading roads The Bobcat T650, Bobcat T76 or Cat 257D are all relatively fast machines as far as track loaders go. Ride: Ride is important. I know the 257d with the ASV undercarriage will give a good ride, but I've heard it's tender when running on ground other than dirt. The Bobcat T650 does not have torsion suspension, but does have the leaf springs; however the leaf springs don't give any flex to the front or rear wheels, just the bogey wheels. Bobcat's new T76, which is replacing the T650 has the new torsion 5 link suspension and likely is best all around track system - but very pricey. Appreciate any comments regarding specifics and or Bobcat vs Catapillar track loaders in general.

T76 is to new, I would advise waiting a little longer. The T650 is by far the very best machine Bobcat makes, plenty of power and no DEF to mess with. No way I would touch a CAT with ASV. The T650 will be the most reliable of the three for sure.

Neither one!!! Buy an ASV, or Terex (same thing!!!). None of the Bobcat New Holland, Takeuchi or others have a suspension sustem on the bogeys and they ride like rocks! If you're going to make a track loader shouldn't it be able to put the power to the ground? Go to YouTube and do a search for ASV versus Bobcat and watch the videos! There's a T190 bobcat and an ASV RC50 on there going up a muddy/snowy hill and the ASV DESTROYS that suspension-less bobcat!!! Do I like Bobcats? yeah, because i make a lot of money, buying and selling them, but they are FAR from being the best skid loader. Hands-down, it'a New Holland for wheels loaders and ASV/Terex for the track loaders. ike it or not - read the specs (ritchispecs.com) and you will see that Caterpillar has the worst horsepower-to-lift ratio in the industry!!! But they DO share the ASV suspension system!!!
